needs of an aging parent?
You’re not alone.

“Before Giving Time, I tried to manage my Mother’s care on my own. But I had no idea what an 86-year old woman with macular degeneration and pancreatic cancer needed and things quickly fell between the cracks.
“Everything changed once Giving Time got involved. Finally we had someone who knew what they were doing and who was able to advocate effectively on Mum’s behalf. Giving Time took care of everything – from providing professional oversight to working with hospice and our GP to ensure the right care was provided at the right time.
“That brought an enormous sense of relief to Mum and our family. It ended the overwhelm and confusion we’d all been suffering and allowed us to focus on our job – supporting and loving her.”
Jennifer D, Auckland.
Hi...
I’m Kaye Davies – a Gerontology Nurse Specialist.
After working for the Auckland District Health Board for many years I started Giving Time, a private home support and nursing agency that specialises in providing Managed Care – a term I coined to describe a comprehensive Gerontology Nurse Specialist-led model of care for seniors.
Using our proven 3-step care methodology, Giving Time helps older adults to maintain their independence and autonomy, so they don’t need to move into residential care or rely solely or heavily on family support.
Across Auckland, we help seniors recovering after surgery, illness or hospitalisation and those with complex conditions like dementia, heart failure and motor neuron disease to live safely and happily at home.

In 2016, Auckland District Health Board recognised Kaye Davies for “the remarkable difference she has made to older adults in the community.”
